Though the country’s two-wheeler companies could not do this, but a startup company based in Bangalore, Athar Energy has announced to launch the country’s first touch-screen electric scooter.
According to the company, the company’s eSkooter S340 is going to start booking from June this year. This scooter of the company will be dropped in the Indian market by the end of the year. Let us tell you that the company had introduced it at the 2016 Auto Show. Since then, it was waiting in the Indian market.
According to the company, the production of this scooter will be started from July this year. This is an eSkoter that has many uses and innovative features. It has an Android-based touchscreen display screen. Apart from this, facilities like push navigation, parking assist system, waterproof charger, multiple riding modes and LED lights are also provided.
Considering the features of this scooter, the eSkotter can set a distance of 60 kilometers at full charge once. Its top speed is 72 kilometers per hour. It gets 80 percent charge in just 50 minutes. Battery life of this is being reported to 50,000 kms.
Let me tell you that Hero MotoCorp has decided to invest Rs 205 crores in this startup. This electric startup has emerged steadily in the Indian domestic market. Although the other smart eSkoters are ready to land in the market, in addition to the Tweety Two Flow Scooter, TVS’s Crayon will also be in front of it. TVS introduced it in concept model Auto Expo.
