After Reliance, Aircel has now decided to shut down its service in Uttar Pradesh (West), Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana. After 30 January 2018.
Aircel will stop providing services to these states. The company has taken this step after the direction of TRAI. TRAI has asked the users to port their number within the time limit. With this, TRAI has also ordered the company to help its users to get their number ports. TRAI has given time to the number of users to port number up to March 10, 2018, which is connected to Aircel within 90 days.
This has been done because no number can be ported before 90 days. After taking a new number, it has to be used for at least 90 days.
Aircel Group Aircel Limited and Dishnet Wireless Limited have returned their license to TRAI for 6 states. According to the TRAI rules, the operation of the Aircel will be discontinued within 60 days from the date of cancellation of license. This period will be completed on January 30. On December 1, 2017, the company had surrendered the license.
How To Port➡
First you have to give AIRCEL the information to port the number. For this you have to write PORT and send it to 1900. In response you will get unique porting code from 1901 number. It will be valid for 15 days. Now you have to go to the company’s center in which you have to port your number. You will also need to enter the porting code while filling the customer application form.
Submit the necessary documents (ID proof, address proof and a passport photo) along with it. In response you will be given a SIM card on behalf of the new company. After activating this SIM will also use your old number and your old SIM will be closed forever.
